The 26 12 200 flat round nose pliers with cutting edge have deliberately "O-legs". The tapered gripping jaws ensure that the smallest parts can be gripped with the tip at any time. If both halves of the pliers were to close flush already at a small distance from the joint, there would be a great risk that they would diverge towards the tip, and thus thin material could not be gripped safely. KNIPEX has deliberately solved this risk with the conical shape.
