Can I cut hard material flush to a surface with a pair of pliers?

Unfortunately, pliers are not suitable for cutting hard materials flush. Flush cuts typically require a tool to not have an outer bevel, and the force generated and placed on the cutting edge when attempting to cut hard materials can bend or damage the cutting edge. This is why all flush or ultra/super flush cuts that do not cause damage are performed on soft materials like lead, copper, or plastic.
