What capacities are given on the crimping pliers?

While there is capacity information inscribed on our crimpers, space constraints prevent including the full capacity. The numeric value shows the largest possible cross section that can be crimped, but smaller cross sections are possible in the exact same die. Our catalog, website, and product packaging include these specifications.

KNIPEX's 97 32 240 provides a great example where two of the inscriptions are capable of smaller cross sections. The 1.5mm² inscription is capable of 0.5 to 1.5mm², and the 6mm² inscription is capable of 4 to 6mm². The 2.5mm² inscription is only capable for this one size.
