Why does KNIPEX offer two different VDE series (yellow-red cover versus double-walled, red immersion)?

Prior to molded multi-component handles, KNIPEX utilized a double-dipped red handle for insulated tools. Both handle types are tested, inspected, and rated for 1000V use.
